On completion of this module the candidate will be able to:
- Understand the key concepts relating to the application of data analytics in business.
- Understand and apply key statistical analysis concepts.
- Import data into a spreadsheet and prepare it for analysis using data cleansing and filtering techniques.
- Summarise data sets using pivot tables and pivot charts.
- Understand and apply data visualisation techniques and tools.
- Create and share reports and dashboards in a data visualisation tool.
Who is this for?
- Technology is increasingly embedded in every modern job role, generating large amounts of data even in small organisations. This data can be exploited to monitor, improve and innovate but only if organisations apply sound data analytics techniques. Using data analytics in business, applying key statistical analysis concepts effectively in order to create, and share meaningful reports are requirements for everyone whose role gives them access to data. These skills and knowledge are essential not only to carry out specific tasks but also as a foundation for developing further competences in the effective use of technology in the workplace.
